Morning Programme

The morning conference sessions are being run in conjunction with our sister event – the Social Media in Recruitment Conference – and will consist of a mixture of keynote speakers, case studies and trends covering both Mobile and Social Media.

Afternoon Programme – Mobile Only

The afternoon programme will consist of Mobile Master Class sessions, case studies and mobile best practices and are ideally suited for delegates looking to get started with mobile recruitment and those looking to take their current mobile activity to the next level.



Andy Hyatt – Creative and Digital Director – Bernard Hodes Group

With almost 20 years of industry experience, Andy has worked with some of the largest and most successful brands in the world to deliver effective, engaging and award-winning campaigns. Unusually, he has worked both client and agency-side, for Lloyds TSB, leading agencies MRM Worldwide, AKQA and DLKW and latterly Bernard Hodes Group. A frequent speaker and commentator, Andy is a strong advocate of user-centric design and “good quality data” and has spoken at and written for several publications and key industry bodies.

Andy is focused on ensuring that Hodes’ solutions are creative, engaging and effective, partnering with clients to help them get the best use out of media, irrespective of the channel. His work has gained plaudits and recognition inside and outside HR sector for its intelligence, innovation and effectiveness. A father of three, Andy can be found braving the waters of the South coast, even in winter.

Alex Kozloff – Head Of Mobile – IAB (Internet Advertising Bureau)


Alex is currently Head of Mobile at the IAB, the trade body that represents digital advertising in the UK. Her role is to ‘Make Mobile Mandatory’ for marketers in the UK, particularly through driving research essential to educate and inform the market.

Named as one of Media Week’s 30 under 30 in 2011, and the Drum’s 30 women in digital under 30 in 2012, her areas of expertise include advertising and mobile media, m-commerce, and consumer trends in mobile. Prior to the IAB,  she managed media research at France Telecom owned Orange and Unanimis.  Earlier in her career, Alex cut her media teeth at the IPG media agency, Initiative.

bill-boormanBill Boorman – Founder and disorganiser at #tru conferences

@BillBoorman is the person behind the #tru brand and a serial conversationalist, whether it is in person or on-line. Bill has views to share and enjoys nothing more than talking, listening and learning on and off line.

Bill is something of a recruitment veteran, having worked in and around recruiting for 27 years as a Recruiter, Temps Consultant, Manager, Operations Director and Training/HR Director. (12.5 years.) He started consulting and training recruitment firms in 2005, and has been doing that since. Bill has consulted for multi-national brands such as Oracle and Hard Rock on talent attraction and sourcing particularly in area of Facebook. The Hard Rock Florence project saw 120 hires in 4 weeks from start to finish.

Bill has been ranked 6′th and most recently 4′th in the trakkr/HRExaminer index of “Most influential on-line recruiters.” The index is based on an algorhythm that measures mentions, link-backs, reach and relevance of content. (Taken from key-words associated with recruiting.)



 James Taylor – Director – Macildowie -  (Previous Conference Delegate Success Story)

James, a self-confessed Linkedin geek, is a company director and a member of the board at Macildowie. He has been with the company since 1997 and has been instrumental in the growth of the business.  In the midst of the economic downturn James launched Macildowie’s Procurement and Supply Chain division in 2009 and more recently, the new Sales and Marketing division at the start of 2013.

His current role is very customer focused and he works to develop the business in areas including customer (major account) development, new client and candidate attraction, marketing, PR and the training and development of Macildowie’s own people. James also still actively recruits for a select few customers who have remained loyal to him over the years.

Away from the boardroom, he is a family man with two young children. When he has time, James enjoys all sports, particularly golf, and is playing off of a handicap of six.


Christer Holloman -  Business Development Director  for Europe – Glassdoor

Christer was previously Head of Digital Product Development at The Times and The Sunday Times and author of Amazon UK bestseller, The Social Media MBA, published by Wiley in three languages. His new book, The Social Media MBA in Practice, will be published September 2013.

Christer is now the Business Development Director for Glassdoor in Europe. Before joing UCAS in 2013 as their Recruitment Manager, Daniel was previously the Managing Partner, TQR Search & Selection. Prior  to that Daniel was a Senior Consultant at Brook Street Bureau PLC and Head of Talent Acquisition, International Retail Group.
