Are You Turning Away Top Candidates Without Knowing?

You may not realise it but every day you could be turning away top candidates. As a result your key vacancies can remain unfilled.

Because you are making it difficult for people to view and apply for your jobs using a mobile device.

Google Mobile Survey

Google announced some survey results last week that showed the attitude of visitors to company websites that were not mobile-enabled:

  • 48% said that if a website didn’t work well on their smartphone it made them feel like the company didn’t care about them
  • 36% said they felt like they had wasted their time by visiting those websites
  • 52% of users said that a bad mobile experience made them less likely to engage with a company
  • 48% of users said they felt frustrated and annoyed when they got to a site that wasn’t mobile-friendly

Powerful feedback indeed!

Some Recruiters are now seeing 30% of their website traffic come from mobile. Are you making it easy for job seekers to view and apply for your vacancies using a mobile device?

If not, then judging by the survey results, you could be seriously damaging your reputation and brand!

Opportunity Costs

When I worked as a In-House Recruiter at IBM, Motorola and Nokia, not having a key sales person in place could cost the business many thousands of pounds per day in lost sales revenue.

How much does it cost your business every day to have a vacancy remain unfilled?

And how much is it costing you every day by not having a mobile strategy in place?
